Giving Back: Falcons, LifeBrand, and Atlanta Mission Join Forces
This past December, the Atlanta Falcons teamed up with corporate partner, LifeBrand and the Atlanta Mission for an impactful day of community service. The event was part of the inaugural Atlanta Falcons Legends Weekend presented by LifeBrand from December 8th-10th.
To kick off the weekend, on Friday, December 8th, The Atlanta Falcons held a recognition dinner for the 1998 NFC Championship Team, courtesy of Novelis. Afterwards, the weekend started by bringing the party to Midtown for the 3rd Happy Hour of the season! Fans signed up for LifeBrand social media cleanings and enjoyed music, giveaways, and appearances by Freddie Falcon and the Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders.
On Saturday morning, volunteers from the Falcons organization, LifeBrand, and Falcons alumni players gathered at the Atlanta Mission headquarters, the city’s largest and longest-running provider of services to homeless men, women and children.
The Atlanta Mission, which has been helping transform lives since 1938, is an ideal community partner for the Falcons because of their location in the heart of Atlanta and deep roots within the community. Executives from LifeBrand expressed how proud they were to work alongside the Falcons and legends players to make a tangible difference. Over 100 volunteers participated in the morning service event and provided assistance that will directly aid the Atlanta Mission’s life-changing work.
The volunteer service event kicked off an incredible Falcons Legends Weekend filled with history, camaraderie and outreach. It represented the Falcons and corporate partners using their platform to positively impact lives across Atlanta.
On Sunday morning, we started with a benefits presentation hosted by representatives from the League Office prior to the pre-game brunch. We ended the weekend with brunch and watching the Falcons play the Buccaneers in the LifeBrand suite with some of our friends!
Finally, the ‘98 team was recognized in-game for their historic season.
It was a weekend filled with football, community, and camaraderie – showcasing how partnerships between influential organizations and individuals can create meaningful change. The Falcons, LifeBrand, and the Atlanta Mission hope to continue this impactful collaboration for years to come.
